Sale managed to stay more-or-less in touch until about five minutes into the second half when Bristol’s superior speed and accuracy started to tell and they pulled away with a couple of quick strikes.
By contrast, Sale looked somewhat lacking in cohesion, with a couple of simple errors handing the initiative back to Bristol to spoil promising attacks.
Stand out for me were Lizzie Duffy, who put in some decent tackles as well as working well at fly-half, and Holly Bawden, who grabbed herself a well-deserved hat-trick.
